About PAWS

PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) is a No-Kill Animal Shelter operating on base in Yokosuka. Our mission is to help save stray and unwanted animals by providing them with shelter, care and love until we find them suitable and loving homes. PAWS only accepts cats and dogs, as we are not equipped to care for other types of animals.

PAWS Current News and Events
We are having a donation drive and bake sale outside the Yokosuka Commissary on February 13th. Come by and check out all the delicious treats!


We have a lot of wonderful dogs right now. Here are just a couple of them but you’ll have to stop by the shelter to see all their smiling faces~ Maybe one of these animals will be a perfect fit for your family!


Here’s Lucy, a pleasant yellow lab. She’s currently in foster care so let us know if you are interested in meeting her~



And here’s Ruby, a young Shiba. She’s also in foster care (to learn manners.)
